Qurex launches interactive puberty courses and AI-powered tool to address sexual health in India
Qurex, a health-tech platform, claims to be committed to addressing sexual dysfunctions in India. As per the start-up its central objective is to offer medical treatment and solutions to individuals grappling with sexual problems, focusing on three key principles namely authenticity, anonymity and awareness. The platform claims to offer two interactive and animated online courses centred around puberty, titled ‘I am growing up: Journey of a Female’ and ‘I am growing up: Journey of a Male,’ Shailja Mittal, CEO, founder, Qurex, told FE Education. “These courses are structured into five interactive modules, each designed to address specific subjects. These topics span from comprehending the physical and emotional transformations that occur during puberty, understanding menstruation and erections, maintaining personal hygiene, to gaining insights into the origins of babies,” she said.
The platform claims that each module of both courses include quizzes to aid students in evaluating their comprehension. The primary target audience of the platform are pre-teens and teenagers, particularly those aged between 8-13 years old, with an emphasis on involving their parents to facilitate a collaborative learning experience. Additionally, these online courses are available at Rs 499 on the company’s official website. “We are providing these courses to schools at reduced prices, ensuring easy access for children and their parents,”Mittal said.
Furthermore, the platform claims to have completed a pilot run with several agencies in the last four months. Under this has collaborated with two schools and partnered with MFine, a mobile application for an online doctor consultation for lab tests. Additionally, it plans to collaborate with more schools and increase awareness across India. Qurex claims to have placed a strong emphasis on user privacy by restricting team access to personal information. User data is exclusively shared with the chosen sexologist or therapist, and any sharing with company personnel necessitates the user’s consent. “The platform adheres to HIPAA compliance standards and employs robust encryption measures to protect personal data and consultation records,” she explained when asked about maintaining privacy and security of user data.
